Had a GT, SD and now a 2018 adv. I had the GT for like 10000 km it had 16k when I bought it. Never had an issue. Kept the super duke for 3000km, bought it new and traded it for a super adventure. I had some minor issues with the adventure but all went through with the warrenty. Dash board when black all a sudden but the bike was fine other wise.
With the Super Duke GT producing a claimed 173 horsepower and 106.2 pound-feet of torque, it was only right for KTM keep with the Brembo M50 front brake calipers.
But I think you missed my point. The new super duke is an amazing bike, I would love to have one in my garage. I think it probably looks better than the Bimmer too. HOWEVER the bmw is a better bike for less money with MORE options (aka ones you can't get on the duke) for less money. So like I said, a winner in my books.

2017 KTM Super Duke GT - Long-Term Test It shares almost the exact same mechanicals as the SDR(excluding 2020+), which has a slipper clutch. Most bikes to include lower end ones have slippers and it would be very baffling for KTM to take the time to exclude the slipper on the literal most expensive model they sell.
The 2023 Super Duke GT represents everything we love about KTM. A mega motor, top-notch technology, and a dose of practicality make it the purist’s choice.
The GT receives a number of updates first introduced on the current Super Duke R, including its Euro 5-rated 1301cc V-Twin engine that claims a peak output of 175 hp and 104 lb-ft. The Super Duke GT also gets the naked bike’s CAD-designed five-spoke wheels that KTM claims weigh 2.2 pounds lighter than the previous GT’s wheels.
The size was what I was after, along with performance. I went with the S1 dual light kit. It comes with a well-made wiring harness. The quality of the S1 light is top notch too. According to Motorrad’s Jens Mƶller-Tƶllner/Maik Schwarz, the mystery bike in the spy shots shows off the following: Bodywork similar to the 890 SMT with certain elements borrowed from KTM’s Super Duke range. An exhaust layout more similar to KTM’s Super Duke.
